Today I’ve got a little card to show you that I made for a sweet, sweet friend of mine. She’s expecting her 3rd child in a few months and is a bit stressed out about life right now. I’m so excited to offer her a bit of encouragement and remind her what a sweet bundle of joy she’ll be adding to her life soon! Ah, isn’t this obsession hobby wonderful? (Oh, and I also decided to give the paper piecing challenge on the Moxie Fab blog a whirl). Enough chit chat…
The first pic is a bit washed out due to my (lack of) photo editing skills. Hope the second is a bit easier on the eyes.
So, I got the idea from my little guy’s crib bedding. As I drowsily stared at the crib skirt, sheet, and bumper pad I liked how the slats of the crib broke up the pattern. That’s why I cut the strips and made them a bit wonky. Each originally started off as a scrap of paper with some full-sized stamping. My favorite part about this card is how the “bundle of” sits right in the corner of two pieces and that corner is repeated in the floss border. Also lovin’ that white space. Can’t go wrong with that, in my opinion! Okay, enough from me… off to feed the sweet babe sleeping in the crib of inspiration. Thanks for poppin’ in!
